Terra Meets Cartoonists League (CLAW)
As part of our community outreach, Terra Organics sponsored an event last Wednesday, organized by none other than the Tacoma-based CLAW (Cartoonists League of Absurd Washingtonians). This talented collective of cartoonists meets twice a month to draw together, celebrate the art of cartooning and, of course, fight off zombies.
At their most recent meeting (at the Mandolin Cafe on S. 12th), CLAW put together a creative game for its participants, the winner of which received a FREE MONTH’S SUPPLY of Terra Organics produce. The game, aptly named CLAWduct Placement, challenged its participants to split into groups of two, develop a factitious product, design and draw a poster, and then pitch it to the rest of the group. Of the many amazing concepts, including a robotic crab, an iPad satire called the iDon’t Care and a coffee-maker/laser gun hybrid, only one product team reigned supreme. (View photos from the event by Kevin Freitas here.) That product was: The Eco Pancake.
Developed by R.R. Anderson (of Tacomic fame), and the elusive Larry Erhardt (aka Thorax O’Tool), the Eco Pancake (made from 100% recycled material) received the most votes from fellow participants, thus crowning the team “CLAW’s Official Marketing Team for 2010” and claiming our Month of Organic Produce Prize. Congrats to the winners and all participants for such awesome creativity.
And to current Terra customers, look out, because the Eco Pancake may just be crawling in next week’s box.
